after making a big mess in the living room... the shelf is done. well, except for the finish. i sort of like the raw look for now. maybe...i'll remove the paint, or paint it all white...
Awesome girl!!! I love your shelf! Yes, I like the raw look too, but white is always practical. If you want to do the raw thing, maybe sand it and give it one of those pale wash finishes where the wood still shows through. Pickled floors are awesome as they look raw, but I don't know what the process is to make them. Maybe you could look into that as an option, because it kind of gives a raw-finished look, if there is such a thing!
Good job, Paula. If you need more rigidity, you could get some of those steel right angles that can be screwed on the back and that would help firm it up quite a bit.
