hand grinding coffee

We spend a lot of time thinking about coffee around here.  Getting a hand coffee grinder has been on my mind for a long time, since you can get a better quality grind for less money.  We finally settled on the Camano Coffee Mill, after also considering the french Peugeot grinders.  We've had this for over a month, and are very happy with it.  You can adjust the coarseness of the grind, and you don't get deafened early in the morning.   Our cats like that too.

I've heard that grinding the coffee with a burr grinder rather than a blade grinder makes a difference in the flavor of the coffee.  I think the coffee does taste better.  But it's also fun to grind coffee the old fashioned way.
